To commemorate the end of Year 1 at Central Saint Martins (2022), the Ba(Hons) Fine Art program tasked students with creating publications celebrating any work created over the academic year, with focus on the few months prior.

At the time, Ba(Hons) Fine Art had been temporarily moved to a location (as part of Koppel X Project, OPENing) in Piccadilly Circus to make space within Central Saint Martins for the upcoming third year final degree show.

During this period students were grouped up across all 4 pathways of Ba(Hons) Fine Art (2D,3D,XD,4D) and were encouraged to collaborate in some way. Following this, a select group of students were asked to “summarise” this work in some format. “Ghost” is an example of this.

Featuring work from 27 students across all 4 pathways, “Ghost” was designed, produced, managed and published by Francesca Hender to celebrate student work from across Year 1. Produced digitally via Adobe Software, the 86 page zine was designed with the theme “Absence & Presence” in mind, as this was one of the key themes stemming out of time spent at the Piccadilly location.
